I have been teaching at St. Agnes for fifteen years,
first as the art teacher and now as technology coordinator. My duties are diverse and include working in the computer lab
with Mrs. Brower our lab coordinator to plan and implement computer projects for students in grades one through eight. Our
art teacher, Mrs. Fiorello and I also have been developing and implementing a fairly comprehensive middle level technology
program. I work with many classroom and special area teachers to plan and carry out integrated units of study in all subject
areas. Our librarian, Mrs. Barricelli and I work together to help our students access, evaluate, and utilize multimedia
research materials. We also plan videoconferences, preparing and training our students in effective videoconferencing techniques.
Part of my responsibilities include maintaining the computer network and caring for our extensive software library. Youve
probably seen me around school with my camera, taking pictures for the school calendar and the school web site. Im also one
of the moderators of the school newspaper, The Green & Gold Gazette. Additionally
I conduct in-service workshop technology training classes for our faculty and for the Diocese of Rockville Centre. I have
completed a Museum Fellowship at the Ward Melville Heritage Organization under the auspices of Nassau BOCES and participated
in a New York State technology grant program with the Freeport School District. I am also an adjunct professor in the education
department at Molloy College.
My interests include photography, painting, drawing, collecting
old cameras, reading, cooking, and starting a collection of old movies on DVDs. Many of my photographs have been exhibited
and I have won a few photography awards. I have also written and illustrated a childrens book. I am very active in my own
community as a volunteer on civic, church and school committees and projects. My two daughters Erin and Becky are grown. Becky
works in a bank and Erin works at the corporate headquarters of a local hospital.
